With a little luck, Schwarzenthal's Steve Pomi got control of the ball when Hubert Strebel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hubert Strebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Pomi having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Schwarzenthal got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Schneider. Yannis Lauri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Connor Schällibaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesse Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannis Lauri in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Steve Pomi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 19th minute, Billy Kamarche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Connor Schällibaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesse Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Mon's Yannis Lauri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve Pomi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 28th minute, Jonathan Reiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Billy Kamarche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schwarzenthal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freeman Sperisen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Mon booed when Schwarzenthal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Thalberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yannis Lauri was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Mon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Schwarzenthal:s goal. A collision led to Mon getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Freeman Sperisen hit a great ball. After 63 minutes, Rodrique Baecker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schwarzenthal and the Mon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mon's Mirko Giacomozzi was substituted for Yannis Lauri. Rodrique Baecker kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mon's Constantin Lajoie was substituted for Flo Hoch. Freeman Sperisen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Pomi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freeman Sperisen during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mon getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Freeman Sperisen hit a great ball. If Freeman Sperisen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. In the 91st minute, Freeman Sperisen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Pomi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Mon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
