An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Battista Hellmüller got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Steven Spielhofer's late challenge caught a Grosswangen AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steven Spielhofer helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Koppigen's Emanuele Strauss got control of the ball when Yannis Geiser tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sixt Rohrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Argus Büto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Tschopp kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Koppigen's Pietro Von got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Grosswangen AC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixt Rohrer came free, but Argus Büto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Ascani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Argus Büto. Grosswangen AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Kallistus Barbey came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Grosswangen AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kallistus Barbey couldn't finish the play. Yannis Geiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Strauss having to interfere. Pietro Von struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Argus Büto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Koppigen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yannis Geiser stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Koppigen booed when Grosswangen AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Tschopp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 played minutes Koppigen got a freekick which was hit by Placido Ascani. Yannis Geiser might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuele Strauss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yannis Geiser ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Grosswangen AC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pietro Von fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Yannis Geiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Battista Hellmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Strauss having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Grosswangen AC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sixt Rohrer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Pietro Von had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Strauss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battista Hellmüller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixt Rohrer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Argus Büto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Pietro Von scored 0-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Argus Büto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixt Rohrer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
