Grosswangen AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viganello the free kick. Timoteo Tschopp kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Battista Hellmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giona Bütler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yannis Geiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Grosswangen AC's Battista Hellmüller got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Grosswangen AC's Battista Hellmüller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giona Bütler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viganello's Giona Bütler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannis Geiser in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Kallistus Barbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Valentiano Altermatt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Argus Büto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adamo Bannwart charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adamo Bannwart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francesco Freihofer to make the kick off. Giona Bütler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battista Hellmüller, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Grosswangen AC's Argus Büto got control of the ball when Marcello Eberli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcello Eberli struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Argus Büto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viganello. 69 minutes into the match, Grosswangen AC's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Freihofer came free, but Argus Büto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marcello Eberli came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Viganello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcello Eberli couldn't finish the play. Argus Büto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Freihofer in the 74th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Marcello Eberli took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Argus Büto to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute, Oluf Waltispühl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Battista Hellmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Grosswangen AC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Yannis Geiser hit a great ball. Battista Hellmüller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Giona Bütler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Battista Hellmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannis Geiser in the 93rd minute of play forced Viganello's goalkeeper Giona Bütler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Battista Hellmüller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giona Bütler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th minute, Yannis Geiser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grosswangen AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grosswangen AC had won after a very even match.
