The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Utzenstorf got a freekick which was hit by Farid Galliker. After 6 minutes, Feliciano Dupasquier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kalchrain FC and the Utzenstorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kalchrain FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Feliciano Dupasquier hit a great ball. Semjon Mela hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Williams Marcolongo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roland Gutknecht. 1-0 became the score in the 13th minute when Ulrico Eisenberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jo Faoccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Williams Marcolongo having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Utzenstorf's Ulrico Eisenberg in the 22nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Williams Marcolongo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Kalchrain FC through an amazing save. Gianluca Wüst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piet Chassot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jo Faoccia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Jo Faoccia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrico Eisenberg in the 34th minute of play forced Kalchrain FC's goalkeeper Williams Marcolongo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianluca Wüst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliciano Dupasquier's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. A collision led to Kalchrain FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Semjon Mela hit a great ball. Williams Marcolongo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roland Gutknecht. After a rather tough play, Kalchrain FC's Semjon Mela got a free kick in the 46th minute. Andrej Kuoni charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrej Kuoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Utzenstorf's Roland Gutknecht tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Piet Chassot made the kick off in the second half. When Utzenstorf's Ulrico Eisenberg in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kalchrain FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ulrico Eisenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serge Schifferle charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 61st minute, Utzenstorf's Ulrico Eisenberg fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Williams Marcolongo was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Utzenstorf's Gianluca Wüst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Utzenstorf from getting a goal against them. When Kalchrain FC's Piet Chassot in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jo Faoccia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Williams Marcolongo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Kalchrain FC's Semjon Mela got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Semjon Mela off the ground. In the 76th minute, Semjon Mela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Utzenstorf's Jo Faoccia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Williams Marcolongo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute Ulrico Eisenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Williams Marcolongo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Piet Chassot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kalchrain FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utzenstorf the free kick. A collision led to Kalchrain FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Piet Chassot hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Utzenstorf's Roland Gutknecht broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Feliciano Dupasquier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Utzenstorf's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
