After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Wolfgang Palorini managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Beauregard's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Palorini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Hecht breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute Wolfgang Palorini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Hecht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Greg Izzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Löbbia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg Izzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvarez Wellauer's late challenge caught a Löbbia SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvarez Wellauer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Löbbia SC booed when F.C Beauregard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvarez Wellauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Hecht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolfgang Palorini in the 19th minute of play. With an all-out effort, F.C Beauregard's Norbert Hecht threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wolfgang Palorini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Greg Izzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes F.C Beauregard got a freekick which was hit by Sidonius Hirter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Geiger in the 30th minute of play forced F.C Beauregard's goalkeeper Marc Schläfli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thorben Anderjoli charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
