Lars Van Havent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matteo Naets's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, AFC Alster's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Vercammen came free, but Luke Van den Panhuizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yanniek Vincx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, AFC Alster's goal looked a bit too open when Octave Callens came free, but Luke Van den Panhuizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yanniek Vincx scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Van den Panhuizen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the KV Winnik defense, Conrad Schollens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Van Havent. The KV Winnik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Van Havent should have stopped the shot. After 31 played minutes, AFC Alster's Fransesco Musseeuw shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lars Van Havent came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Alster reached it. Philipp Vercammen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Yanniek Vincx lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Luke Van den Panhuizen. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrad Schollens made a kick off. The supporters of KV Winnik booed when AFC Alster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matteo Naets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philipp Vercammen scored 4-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Van den Panhuizen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Vercammen in the 70th minute of play forced AFC Alster's goalkeeper Luke Van den Panhuizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octave Callens charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octave Callens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Octave Callens kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Conrad Schollens was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. AFC Alster's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Conrad Schollens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Van Havent read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match, Pino Bauweleers got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lars Van Havent was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Charlie Van Craesbeeck charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Van Craesbeeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Charlie Van Craesbeeck hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 98 minutes in the game Matteo Naets got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the AFC Alster players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KV Winnik.
