Pino Bauweleers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 played minutes AFC Alster got a freekick which was hit by Conrad Schollens. Luke Van den Panhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Hylen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Jason Hylen made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. AFC Alster's Luke Van den Panhuizen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 minutes, Yanis Liebrechts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United and the AFC Alster players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yanis Liebrechts kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Jason Hylen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luke Van den Panhuizen. The goal made the score 2-0. Pino Bauweleers struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Joonas Vooremäe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Alster. The supporters of AFC Alster booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoff Vercasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jason Hylen came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Hylen couldn't finish the play. After having played for 34 minutes, Pino Bauweleers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Alster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Bauweleers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrad Schollens scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joonas Vooremäe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joonas Vooremäe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pino Bauweleers in the 43rd minute of the match. Kasper Lanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrad Schollens to make the kick off. Luke Van den Panhuizen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Hylen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Matthis Smits was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Alster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. In the 54th minute, Matthis Smits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes in the game, Conrad Schollens fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joonas Vooremäe having to interfere. AFC Alster's Luke Van den Panhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Hylen in the 63rd minute of play. Manchester United's Jason Hylen got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jason Hylen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFC Alster's Conrad Schollens got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christoff Vercasteren hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jason Hylen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luke Van den Panhuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Pino Bauweleers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Alster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Bauweleers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luke Van den Panhuizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jason Hylen in the 91st minute of the match. If Kasper Lanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasper Lanen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Van den Panhuizen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Manchester United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
