Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerard Van den Berge kicked off to start the match. Renzo Lambrechts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Swinnen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. If Joannes Van Eyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni Soens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van Collenborgh having to interfere. Joannes Van Eyck did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Billie Van Collenborgh 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to KAA Bande getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gert-Jan Schellekens hit a great ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Bande's goalkeeper Tommy Swinnen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Giovanni Soens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Swinnen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Van den Berge in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Marc Roockeloos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KAA Bande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brielen the free kick. A collision led to KAA Bande getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marc Roockeloos hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Renzo Lambrechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Swinnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joannes Van Eyck in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billie Van Collenborgh saved Brielen from getting behind. Joannes Van Eyck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van Collenborgh having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Brielen's zone, Marc Roockeloos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billie Van Collenborgh came out of the goal and Marc Roockeloos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerard Van den Berge hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joannes Van Eyck made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renzo Lambrechts got free with Tommy Swinnen in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Giovanni Soens notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Brielen's Billie Van Collenborgh. Billie Van Collenborgh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gerard Van den Berge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, KAA Bande's Giovanni Soens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Billie Van Collenborgh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balthazar Spailer charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balthazar Spailer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, KAA Bande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balthazar Spailer to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Swinnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Van den Berge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brielen's Fred Ombelets got a free kick in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joannes Van Eyck in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Billie Van Collenborgh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Billie Van Collenborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Soens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KAA Bande's Tommy Swinnen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save KAA Bande from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, KAA Bande's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerard Van den Berge fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Youri Decock kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Gerard Van den Berge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Swinnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Soens might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billie Van Collenborgh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Soens ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joannes Van Eyck in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Billie Van Collenborgh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KAA Bande had won after a very even match.
