Harald Van de Putt hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincent Van Baerlem during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to KSV Ellemelle getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Vincent Van Baerlem hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes de Pelsmaker in the 29th minute of play forced Herstal's goalkeeper Antoine Poets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Jeffery Smoors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KSV Ellemelle's Janes Damman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save KSV Ellemelle from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Vos in the 36th minute of play forced KSV Ellemelle's goalkeeper Janes Damman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeffery Smoors was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Luc Verheyden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Poets having to interfere. Herstal's Luka Vos got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 57th minute, Hannes de Pelsmaker fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antoine Poets, passed just outside the right post. In the 57th match minute, Herstal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesly Pluijssens to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind KSV Ellemelle's goalkeeper Janes Damman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KSV Ellemelle's Janes Damman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffery Smoors in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Wesly Pluijssens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herstal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Ellemelle the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luka Vos during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antoine Poets made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luc Verheyden in the 82nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Antoine Poets successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Jeffery Smoors came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Herstal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeffery Smoors couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Herstal booed when KSV Ellemelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Meeus didn't get a good kick on the ball. KSV Ellemelle's Janes Damman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luka Vos in the 92nd minute of play. Janes Damman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffery Smoors in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
