The referee ignored Affligem's protests and gave Ysidro Aostri a yellow card for diving instead. Ysidro Aostri hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Affligem's Romeo Zamfir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Rompen in the 9th minute of play. When KSV Diksmuide's Marcus Rompen in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marcus Rompen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Romeo Zamfir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Ysidro Aostri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KSV Diksmuide's Regis Raeymakers got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Regis Raeymakers made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Zamfir. Affligem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Romeo Zamfir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Rompen in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Affligem's goalkeeper Romeo Zamfir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Regis Raeymakers. Regis Raeymakerss short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Romeo Zamfir to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 46 played minutes Affligem got a freekick which was hit by Arnout Valkenaers.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo D'Hondt was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd match minute, Affligem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Van Lueven to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of KSV Diksmuide booed when Affligem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo D'Hondt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Terhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axell Kerkhofs in the 82nd minute of the match.
