The supporters of FC Herve booed when FC Verdenne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luk Verdonk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Lucas De Koq had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philipp Temmerman. FC Herve's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas De Koq was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 13 minutes, Perry de Pelsmacker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Verdenne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry de Pelsmacker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teun Omblet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert-Jan Antheunis in the 16th minute of the match. Gert-Jan Antheunis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Teun Omblet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gert-Jan Antheunis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Herve's Philipp Temmerman got control of the ball when Lucas De Koq tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Verdenne's Lucas De Koq got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cederique De Messemaeckre kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Gert-Jan Antheunis made a precise shot to the right of Teun Omblet. FC Verdenne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Perry de Pelsmacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Francois Quintens came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FC Herve fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francois Quintens couldn't finish the play. The FC Herve fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when FC Herve's Francois Quintens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Teun Omblet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert-Jan Antheunis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gert-Jan Antheunis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teun Omblet having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Francois Quintens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Gert-Jan Antheunis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Herve's Gert-Jan Antheunis got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Francois Quintens came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Herve fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francois Quintens couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert-Jan Antheunis in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teun Omblet saved FC Verdenne from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded FC Herve left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Verdenne.
