Richy Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teun Omblet having to interfere. Jim Meersman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perry de Pelsmacker's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Lucas De Koq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jim Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Moerdijk getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Hannes Hagemans hit a great ball. Balthazar Kerckmans struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jim Meersman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Verdenne. Jim Meersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry de Pelsmacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When FC Verdenne's Perry de Pelsmacker in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moerdijk's goalie prevented a goal. Perry de Pelsmacker got in the 16th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jim Meersman handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Moerdijk got a freekick which was hit by Jens Stocks. 21 minutes into the match, FC Verdenne's goal looked a bit too open when Richy Bosmans came free, but Teun Omblet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Verdenne's Gust De Werdt got a free kick in the 24th minute. Lucas De Koq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moerdijk's Jim Meersman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas De Koq in the 29th minute of play. Richy Bosmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Teun Omblet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kim Thielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, one of Moerdijk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Moerdijk. Balthazar Kerckmans shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Perry de Pelsmacker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jim Meersman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Kim Thielens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Teun Omblet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Lucas De Koq hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 71 minutes, Lucas De Koq managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Verdenne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas De Koq was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas De Koq's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Jim Meersman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 73 played minutes Moerdijk got a freekick which was hit by Matijs Worteleers. Perry de Pelsmacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Meersman having to interfere. After 80 played minutes, FC Verdenne's Balthazar Kerckmans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Meersman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Verdenne reached it. Kim Thielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Verdenne's Perry de Pelsmacker got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jim Meersman made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Balthazar Kerckmans sent off a good shot on target. Lucas De Koq in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jim Meersman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 96 minutes into the game, Moerdijk's Richy Bosmans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teun Omblet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
