Harry Potter FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander De Potter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matijs Labrouche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Tobbackers in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Van Hove saved Harry Potter FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match Ief Uijtterhoeven sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Van Hove skillfully saved the ball. When Marcus Haentjens came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the KV Knutsegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Haentjens couldn't finish the play. Harry Potter FC's Danny Van Hove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Tobbackers in the 37th minute of play. Basiel Meynen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matijs Labrouche having to interfere. In the 47th minute Jean Tobbackers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Van Hove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexander De Potter was the one to do the kick off. The tension between the Harry Potter FC and the KV Knutsegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Harry Potter FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Hacke. During the 97th minute of the match Oscar Hacke completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Oscar Hacke a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 98th match minute, Harry Potter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Hacke to maneuver through the defense. KV Knutsegem succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Harry Potter FC had controlled the match.
