In the 20th minute, Cederik De Kerpel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jules Bautmans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Remie Impens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lander Dobbeleir in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SV Athos's zone, Cederik De Kerpel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jules Bautmans came out of the goal and Cederik De Kerpel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jules Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cederik De Kerpel in the 38th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Ward Van de Goor put in a rough tackle. A collision led to white glove getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ward Van de Goor hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Arnout Verheugen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remie Impens skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vince Moerman made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joos Van Aertvinck during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Joos Van Aertvinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. white glove's Remie Impens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lander Dobbeleir in the 54th minute of play. Lander Dobbeleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remie Impens having to interfere. When Wesly Ruelens fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Athos's protests and gave Wesly Ruelens a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes SV Athos got a freekick which was hit by Wesly Ruelens. Lander Dobbeleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Remie Impens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Lander Dobbeleir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remie Impens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SV Athos booed when white glove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joos Van Aertvinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remie Impens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lander Dobbeleir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. white glove's Remie Impens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lander Dobbeleir in the 81st minute of play. Alex De Keyser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joos Van Aertvinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jules Bautmans having to interfere. white glove's Joos Van Aertvinck got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Vince Moerman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remie Impens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. white glove walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
