Joonatan Van de Zande's late challenge caught a Eine 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Ourogge hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Niel Kortens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The Neder-Over-Heembeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenz Theunis should have stopped the shot. Eine 's Luk De Weyngaert got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Neder-Over-Heembeek players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Eine were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luk De Weyngaert made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Maurus Schellekens notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Eine 's Thomas Smets. Thomas Smets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 57 minutes of play, Eine 's Karel De Mol made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenz Theunis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lorenz Theunis was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Luk De Weyngaert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luk De Weyngaert really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Thomas Smets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurus Schellekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Eine 's Karel De Mol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenz Theunis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johnny Deflandre charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Karel De Mol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Lorenz Theunis made a huge save. The supporters of Neder-Over-Heembeek booed when Eine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luk De Weyngaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luk De Weyngaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Luk De Weyngaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eine 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luk De Weyngaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenz Theunis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luk De Weyngaert in the 95th minute of play. If Niel Kortens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eine had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
