Giovanni van Hacht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud De Langhe, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Andreas Volens fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hargimont's protests and gave Andreas Volens a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hargimont's Andreas Volens got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Ruud De Langhe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruud De Langhe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni van Hacht having to interfere. The wind increased when Bastian De Raeijmaeker made the kick off in the second half. Ruud De Langhe's late challenge caught a Hargimont's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruud De Langhe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Ruud De Langhe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Bekaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Bekaert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waut Van Langhendoncx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After 93 played minutes Hargimont got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Holemans.
