Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joe Ingelborghs started the match with the kick off. Luka Van Cruchten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stijn Van Bouschot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. 3 minutes into the match, Steenokkerzeel's goalkeeper Stijn Van Bouschot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luka Van Cruchten. Stijn Van Bouschot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis La Rose in the 7th minute of the match. When KFC Beerzel's Regis La Rose in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steenokkerzeel's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Diederik Oelaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthieu De Munck was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Regis La Rose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dieter Rousseau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Joe Ingelborghs elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Steenokkerzeel's Diederik Oelaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Regis La Rose managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Beerzel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Regis La Rose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Regis La Rose to make the kick off. If Luuk Coremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stijn Van Bouschot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luuk Coremans's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When KFC Beerzel's Regis La Rose in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. KFC Beerzel's Regis La Rose got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of KFC Beerzel booed when Steenokkerzeel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Ingelborghs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charl Bruyninckx's late challenge caught a KFC Beerzel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charl Bruyninckx helped the player get up and apologised. When Regis La Rose came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the KFC Beerzel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Regis La Rose couldn't finish the play.
