Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Renaud Kempenaers kicked off to start the match. U18 Academy's Stefaan Bouwmans got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Asbroek's goalkeeper Tom Uytterhaegen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffe Andriesens. Tom Uytterhaegen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steffe Andriesens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Renaud Kempenaers put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernard Klijnhens. 22 minutes into the game, Renaud Kempenaers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bernard Klijnhens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tom Uytterhaegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefaan Bouwmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Renaud Kempenaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes U18 Academy got a freekick which was hit by Glen Verhagen. Bernard Klijnhens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daan Frederickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Asbroek's zone, Steffe Andriesens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Uytterhaegen came out of the goal and Steffe Andriesens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Uytterhaegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefaan Bouwmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefaan Bouwmans to make the kick off. Asbroek's Tom Uytterhaegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefaan Bouwmans in the 51st minute of play. Steffe Andriesens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Uytterhaegen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, U18 Academy's Alan Scheerens got a free kick in the 58th minute. Renaud Kempenaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Daan Frederickx came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Asbroek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daan Frederickx couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Daan Frederickx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asbroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Daan Frederickx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Klijnhens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Steffe Andriesens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U18 Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steffe Andriesens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Steffe Andriesens came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the U18 Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffe Andriesens couldn't finish the play. Daan Frederickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bernard Klijnhens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the U18 Academy defense, Niels Poels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Klijnhens. The U18 Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Klijnhens should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Asbroek booed when U18 Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Verhagen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asbroek's Jannes Van den Ende couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for U18 Academy. Glen Verhagen kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Asbroek's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
