Joos Delen charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joos Delen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Zonnegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joos Delen to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Martijn Callens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswald Milters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Jean Vereijt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jilian Ombelets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Weidonk's Maxim-Alexander Verelst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Roeckeloes in the 30th minute of play. If Tim Gheysen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswald Milters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Callens in the 36th minute of play. Martijn Callens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martijn Callens might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswald Milters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martijn Callens ran back to his position shaking his head. Jilian Ombelets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswald Milters having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ief Servranckx to strike the kick off in the second half. Martijn Callens struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Oswald Milters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Weidonk. Maxim-Alexander Verelst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ief Servranckx in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Zonnegem 's Constant De Vleeschauwer got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes in the game, Jilian Ombelets dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Martijn Callens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswald Milters having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Ief Servranckx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxim-Alexander Verelst. Ief Servranckx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. If Tim Gheysen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jilian Ombelets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Zonnegem 's Tim Gheysen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxim-Alexander Verelst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jilian Ombelets hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ramon Spoelberghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswald Milters having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Martijn Callens made a precise shot to the right of Oswald Milters. Zonnegem 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zonnegem had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
