The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Martin got free with Bernard Vandekerkhove in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that George Kustermans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernard Vandekerkhove quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice moves Ivan Martin could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Bernard Vandekerkhove however easily saved by the left post. Simon Van Der Straeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustav Bouwmans kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Aalst Angels FC's Ivan Martin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Vandekerkhove narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simon Van Der Straeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein Stroobant in the 77th minute of play forced Royal Flush's goalkeeper Bernard Vandekerkhove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Royal Flush booed when Aalst Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Royal Flush's Bernard Vandekerkhove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Martin in the 97th minute of play. Royal Flush succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Aalst Angels FC had controlled the match.
