In the 21st match minute, KFC Gooik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Adriens to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Gooik's zone, Dieter Van den Berge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederic de Pelsmacker came out of the goal and Dieter Van den Berge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Pierre-Paul Postens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 33 minutes, Wannes Flocquier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Gooik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wannes Flocquier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanis Gilis in the 39th minute of play forced Singelberg's goalkeeper Jeffrey Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederic de Pelsmacker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jef Minnen in the 43rd minute. Frederic de Pelsmacker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Van den Berge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Singelberg's Dieter Van den Berge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jef Minnen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Frederic de Pelsmacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederic de Pelsmacker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieter Van den Berge in the 57th minute of the match. A hard shot 61 in the game by Wannes Flocquier from a close distance when the talented Jeffrey Baeten managed to make a qualified save. Singelberg's players were relieved. After 63 played minutes KFC Gooik got a freekick which was hit by Casper Schoenmaekers. In the 66thth minute of the game Jef Minnen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Gooik's Frederic de Pelsmacker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Mathieux Wolfdoncx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Gooik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Singelberg the free kick. The supporters of Singelberg booed when KFC Gooik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieux Wolfdoncx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daan Dechamps hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Pierre-Paul Postens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederic de Pelsmacker. KFC Gooik's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jef Minnen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
