Quichetakteam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Karel-Jan Paschiers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tim-Jan Tilemans. Karel-Jan Paschiers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Karel-Jan Paschiers was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Ghent Academy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The long shot by Vicente Wijnants in the 19th minute really tested Tim-Jan Tilemans's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tim-Jan Tilemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel-Jan Paschiers in the 22nd minute of the match. When Karel-Jan Paschiers fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghent Academy's protests and gave Karel-Jan Paschiers a yellow card for diving instead. Karel-Jan Paschiers kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Yens Persoons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ghent Academy and the Quichetakteam players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Quichetakteam booed when Ghent Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yens Persoons didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Jochen Nilis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Luukas Van Hallebeeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd match minute, Ghent Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richy Christiaens to maneuver through the defense. Louis Wiggers took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim-Jan Tilemans. Tim-Jan Tilemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Felix Wyns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quichetakteam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Wyns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luukas Van Hallebeeck made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Felix Wyns sent off a good shot on target. When Danny Verhengen came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Quichetakteam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Verhengen couldn't finish the play. If Stef Steckens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Dyllan Sielens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Quichetakteam defense, Louis Wiggers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim-Jan Tilemans. The Quichetakteam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim-Jan Tilemans should have stopped the shot. Tim-Jan Tilemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Wiggers in the 81st minute of the match. Jochen Nilis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Jochen Nilis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luukas Van Hallebeeck. Jochen Nilis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ghent Academy fully deserved thier win.
