With a little luck, Ambly's Birger Van Hoof got control of the ball when Hannes Susters tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Merckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Roel Lanphant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Merckx in the 30th minute of play forced Vaulx's goalkeeper Roel Lanphant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roel Lanphant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Merckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Jonathan Merckx made a precise shot to the right of Roel Lanphant. Vaulx's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Roel Lanphant was a little too slow when Jonathan Merckx got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 70th match minute, Vaulx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Verheecke to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ambly's zone, Michiel Van Gysel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Van Hoof came out of the goal and Michiel Van Gysel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Freddy Langendonckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommie Vinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambly's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
