Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Reijniers started the match with the kick off. The referee gave Ardooie a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bass Van Der Veecken, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sterrebeek's Pierre Bollaert. 0-1. The supporters of Ardooie booed when Sterrebeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn De Pauw didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Ivan Reijniers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardooie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Reijniers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sterrebeek getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ruben Schoenmaekers hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Bass Van Der Veecken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pierre Bollaert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Sterrebeek's Olivier Hemelsoet made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niel Herremans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pierre Bollaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Van Leempoel, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Ardooie defense, Ruben Schoenmaekers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niel Herremans. The Ardooie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niel Herremans should have stopped the shot. Olivier Hemelsoet took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niel Herremans. Niel Herremans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

In the 51st minute, Jorn Schoovaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Reijniers was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Ardooie's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Sterrebeek getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jorn Schoovaerts hit a great ball. Perry Van Leempoel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Van Leempoel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre Bollaert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. If Olivier Hemelsoet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ardooie's Niel Herremans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorn Schoovaerts in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Sterrebeek booed when Ardooie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanniek Van Gijsel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olivier Hemelsoet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Jorn Schoovaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sterrebeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorn Schoovaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 played minutes Ardooie got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Dejardin. If Olivier Hemelsoet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorn Schoovaerts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niel Herremans having to make a save. Sterrebeek's attack was well implemented in the 83rd minute, but when Jorn Schoovaerts was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Jorn Schoovaerts scored 5-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niel Herremans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Ardooie's goal looked a bit too open when Olivier Hemelsoet came free, but Niel Herremans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Ruben Schoenmaekers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niel Herremans was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. In the 97thth minute of the game Olivier Hemelsoet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardooie's Niel Herremans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
