FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's William Van Hoeij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Gobelijns in the 3rd minute of play. Nic Vleminx scored 1-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William Van Hoeij, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18thth minute of the game Bart Gobelijns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's William Van Hoeij was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Arnaud Engelberchs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lembeke the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Arnaud Engelberchs got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jacque De Coninck was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ivo Neefs might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bart-Jan De Coster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivo Neefs ran back to his position shaking his head. Bart-Jan De Coster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Neefs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Bart Gobelijns ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Van Hoeij was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. William Van Hoeij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Gobelijns in the 37th minute of play. After 38 played minutes FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing got a freekick which was hit by Mathijs Lyens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nic Vleminx in the 41st minute of play forced FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's goalkeeper William Van Hoeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Nic Vleminx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lembeke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nic Vleminx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Mathijs Lyens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lembeke were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nic Vleminx made a kick off. Bart Gobelijns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but William Van Hoeij made a huge save. If Jules Van Linthout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Jules Van Linthout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart-Jan De Coster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nic Vleminx struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. William Van Hoeij didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lembeke. Lembeke were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacque De Coninck took the corner. If Jules Van Linthout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaud Engelberchs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart-Jan De Coster having to interfere. William Van Hoeij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nic Vleminx in the 87th minute of the match. Nic Vleminx might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Van Hoeij. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nic Vleminx ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Nic Vleminx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Van Hoeij was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lembeke eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
