An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffry Lieckens in the 3rd minute of play forced mattiasfc's goalkeeper Cedrik Langendonck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AFC Nijvel getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fabrice Strupar hit a great ball. mattiasfc's Cedrik Langendonck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffry Lieckens in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrice Strupar got free with Cedrik Langendonck in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geoffry Lieckens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. AFC Nijvel's Denis Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy van Bedts in the 35th minute of play. Denis Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy van Bedts in the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Raf De Peuter made the kick off in the second half. Raf De Peuter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFC Nijvel's Stef Van Aghten suffered a concussion after 53 minutes and had to leave the field. Michael de Neuyter charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael de Neuyter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Michael de Neuyter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54thth minute of the game Geoffry Lieckens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but mattiasfc's Cedrik Langendonck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Raf De Peuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raf De Peuter in the 60th minute of the match. Raf De Peuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Denis Deroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jimmy van Bedts came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the mattiasfc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy van Bedts couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, mattiasfc's Raf De Peuter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Geoffry Lieckens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrik Langendonck having to interfere. Jimmy van Bedts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Denis Deroek made a huge save. After a rather tough play, AFC Nijvel's Seppe De Boeck got a free kick in the 77th minute. A hard shot by Waud Roggen from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Denis Deroek's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 79th match minute, mattiasfc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Lefevere to maneuver through the defense. Cedrik Langendonck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geoffry Lieckens went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, AFC Nijvel's Fabrice Strupar got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jimmy van Bedts managed to get in a good position for a shot. mattiasfc's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy van Bedts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Deroek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Seppe De Boeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raf De Peuter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Deroek having to interfere. If Jimmy van Bedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the AFC Nijvel players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
