Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) F.C. De Stampers's Philip Shamp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Regis Kestens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Fred Kerkhove when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vorsen's Diederik Van haeck suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kevin Declercq charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevin Declercq the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. F.C. De Stampers's Fred Kerkhove proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. De Stampers from getting a goal against them. Regis Kestens hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Regis Kestens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Kerkhove having to make a save. After having played for 13 minutes, Lander Leerbels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vorsen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lander Leerbels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Tim-Jan Velkeneers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Kerkhove made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Regis Kestens sent off a good shot on target. Wim Frederickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achilles Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of F.C. De Stampers booed when Vorsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lander Leerbels didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Achilles Van De Wijngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, F.C. De Stampers's Fred Kerkhove got control of the ball when Regis Kestens tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Philip Shamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remy Rauvoets kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Regis Kestens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achilles Van De Wijngaert kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Regis Kestens might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fred Kerkhove. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Regis Kestens ran back to his position shaking his head. Regis Kestens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Fred Kerkhove made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Regis Kestens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remy Rauvoets charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remy Rauvoets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vorsen getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Remy Rauvoets hit a great ball. Philip Shamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wim Frederickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Shamp in the 59th minute of play forced Vorsen's goalkeeper Wim Frederickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Remy Rauvoets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vorsen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Achilles Van De Wijngaert got free with Wim Frederickx in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Joery Salms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Regis Kestens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Kerkhove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regis Kestens, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Remy Rauvoets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Regis Kestens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F.C. De Stampers's Fred Kerkhove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Regis Kestens in the 87th minute of play.
