Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jos Leemans kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Jos Leemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Herpoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th play minute Ramon Struijf came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rudi Herpoel. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Leemans in the 10th minute of play forced KFC Edegem's goalkeeper Rudi Herpoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Ramon Struijf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When FC Duck United's Jos Leemans in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rudi Herpoel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Callens in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jos Leemans managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Duck United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jos Leemans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudi Herpoel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tibaut Van Latem was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Duck United's Bill Ballette got a free kick in the 51st minute. Herman Hostens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmanuel De Mol hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Tim Huveneers's late challenge caught a FC Duck United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Huveneers helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Duck United booed when KFC Edegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Huveneers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Andrew Valckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudi Herpoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jos Leemans in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Mathieux Himschoot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rudi Herpoel skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jos Leemans in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudi Herpoel saved KFC Edegem from getting behind. If Jos Leemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Alfred Callens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Duck United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Callens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jos Leemans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudi Herpoel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. When Tibaut Van Latem came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the KFC Edegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibaut Van Latem couldn't finish the play. Rudi Herpoel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jos Leemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ramon Struijf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Jos Leemans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudi Herpoel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. FC Duck United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
