KVSK Xhawirs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Walderdonk the free kick. In the 26th match minute, KVSK Xhawirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joerie Arnoets to maneuver through the defense. Michael Struyf charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Diego Hendrickx was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mitch Velkeneers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play.

The wind increased when Luka Beekman made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of KVSK Xhawirs booed when Walderdonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joos Dobbeleir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luka Beekman's late challenge caught a Walderdonk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Hendrickx came out of the goal and Herbert Van Meensel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KVSK Xhawirs's Diego Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Van Meensel in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the KVSK Xhawirs players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Walderdonk.
