To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommi Cuveliers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitch Velkeneers's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Tommi Cuveliers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Van Meensel, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Mitch Velkeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Walderdonk's goalkeeper Jordi Suteweij had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Struijf. Jos Leemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jos Leemans in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordi Suteweij saved Walderdonk from getting behind. Ramon Struijf succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. Mitch Velkeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tommi Cuveliers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes FC Duck United got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel De Mol. In the 31st minute, Adam Slaghmeulders sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Duck United's Tommi Cuveliers didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Van Meensel in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Duck United's goalkeeper Tommi Cuveliers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Duck United's Jos Leemans got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Walderdonk's Mitch Velkeneers in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Duck United's goalie prevented a goal. If Herbert Van Meensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 63rd match minute, Walderdonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillipe Van Deijck to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Jos Leemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordi Suteweij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Velkeneers in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Duck United's goalkeeper Tommi Cuveliers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Emmanuel De Mol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Walderdonk booed when FC Duck United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieux Himschoot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 minutes, Joos Dobbeleir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walderdonk and the FC Duck United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walderdonk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mitch Velkeneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, FC Duck United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilliam Demeyer to maneuver through the defense. When Herbert Van Meensel fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walderdonk's protests and gave Herbert Van Meensel a yellow card for diving instead. Herbert Van Meensel hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Mitch Velkeneers fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 92nd minute of the match Bill Ballette shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jordi Suteweij showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
