Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tristan De Bisschop kicked off to start the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Longchamps's Tristan De Bisschop in the 4th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Mike Hoeybroeck was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for KFC Poelberg through an amazing save. When Oswald Loozen came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Longchamps fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswald Loozen couldn't finish the play. Tristan De Bisschop received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mike Hoeybroeck came out and tried to block the shot, but Tristan De Bisschop slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Tristan De Bisschop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Stocks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mike Hoeybroeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Pieter Persoens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Van der Veken having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renaud Staes during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renaud Staes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Constant De Pauw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Longchamps's Oswald Loozen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play, KFC Poelberg's Wes Struijf made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nic Van der Veken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wes Struijf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tristan De Bisschop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Hoeybroeck having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constant De Pauw to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, KFC Poelberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Pieter Persoens to maneuver through the defense. Nic Van der Veken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constant De Pauw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mike Hoeybroeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan De Bisschop in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Longchamps's goalkeeper Nic Van der Veken had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Struijf. Tristan De Bisschop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Hoeybroeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Tristan De Bisschop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tristan De Bisschop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Stocks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tristan De Bisschop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Hoeybroeck having to interfere. KFC Poelberg's Constant De Pauw got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante De Vos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constant De Pauw in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nic Van der Veken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Constant De Pauw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Longchamps's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Constant De Pauw fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Longchamps supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Poelberg's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Poelberg.
