After 13 played minutes Teo Coekelbergh rounded Longchamps's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Longchamps's zone, Nicolas Kerstens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nic Van der Veken came out of the goal and Nicolas Kerstens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Wolvertem-Merchtem's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan De Bisschop came free, but Jannes Meulemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Van Caubergen kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Nicolas Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Longchamps's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Kerstens came free, but Nic Van der Veken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Van den Maegdenbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Van der Veken having to interfere. When Longchamps's Tristan De Bisschop in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Longchamps's Nic Van der Veken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Longchamps from getting a goal against them. If Matias Van den Maegdenbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 37 played minutes Longchamps got a freekick which was hit by Frederick Uyterhelcht. Andries Lingier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th match minute, Longchamps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renaud Staes to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 47 in the game by Teo Coekelbergh from a close distance when the talented Nic Van der Veken managed to make a qualified save. Longchamps's players were relieved. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tristan De Bisschop stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matias Van den Maegdenbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nic Van der Veken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Coekelbergh's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Teo Coekelbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nic Van der Veken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teo Coekelbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Van der Veken having to interfere. Nic Van der Veken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Coekelbergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Longchamps getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Oswald Loozen hit a great ball. After 68 minutes, Teo Coekelbergh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wolvertem-Merchtem and the Longchamps players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teo Coekelbergh hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Nicolas Kerstens came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Wolvertem-Merchtem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Kerstens couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Van den Maegdenbergh in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nic Van der Veken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teo Coekelbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. After 95 played minutes Wolvertem-Merchtem got a freekick which was hit by Tuur Van Havent. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wolvertem-Merchtem fully deserved thier win.
