Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nickolas Breugelmans got the match started through his kick off. When Maurice Godts came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the KFC Leopoldsburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Godts couldn't finish the play. If Maurice Godts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, KFC Leopoldsburg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stefaan Van Den Broeck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Stefaan Van Den Broeck put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roderik Koppens. The audience was convinced that Nickolas Breugelmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roderik Koppens was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Walter Van Boeckost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Snyers in the 25th minute of the match. Perry Snyers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Van Boeckost having to interfere. Maurice Godts struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Walter Van Boeckost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Leopoldsburg. After having played for 34 minutes, Maurice Godts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Leopoldsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Godts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nickolas Breugelmans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roderik Koppens came out and tried to block the shot, but Nickolas Breugelmans slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 37th minute. Walter Van Boeckost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Snyers in the 42nd minute of the match. Perry Snyers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Van Boeckost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Stefaan Van Den Broeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolas Breugelmans in the 46th minute of play forced KFC Leopoldsburg's goalkeeper Roderik Koppens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefaan Van Den Broeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Roderik Koppens made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Godts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Stefaan Van Den Broeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roderik Koppens was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. If Stefaan Van Den Broeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrad De Mijer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roderik Koppens. KFC Leopoldsburg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in KFC Leopoldsburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! KFC Vechmaal's Walter Van Boeckost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Godts in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perry Snyers got free with Walter Van Boeckost in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of KFC Vechmaal booed when KFC Leopoldsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurent Van den Maegdenbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Vechmaal's Nickolas Breugelmans got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roderik Koppens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefaan Van Den Broeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Nickolas Breugelmans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Roderik Koppens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute of the match, Maurice Godts tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Van Boeckost saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Perry Snyers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dolf Van Vyve charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dolf Van Vyve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Perry Snyers managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Leopoldsburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Perry Snyers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Van Boeckost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
