Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Beveren's Joeri Du Bois started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Tommas Van der Weijden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Anseghem's Claus Coppens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gilles Bossuyt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Beveren got a freekick which was hit by Davy Demarrez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilles Bossuyt in the 9th minute of play forced Beveren's goalkeeper Dany De Poorter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Wilfried Van de Put was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beveren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Anseghem the free kick. After a rather tough play, Beveren's Wilfried Van de Put got a free kick in the 9th minute. A collision led to Beveren getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Wilfried Van de Put hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, KFC Anseghem's Stanny Geijselinx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dany De Poorter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Anseghem reached it. The audience was convinced that Gilles Bossuyt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dany De Poorter was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Rob Slabbaert put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dany De Poorter. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beveren's goalkeeper Dany De Poorter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilles Bossuyt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dany De Poorter. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Dany De Poorter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rob Slabbaert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. If Gilles Bossuyt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, KFC Anseghem's Rob Slabbaert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dany De Poorter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 41 minutes of play, KFC Anseghem's Rob Slabbaert made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dany De Poorter was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Gilles Bossuyt made the kick off in the second half. Tommas Van der Weijden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Claus Coppens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gilles Bossuyt took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dany De Poorter. Dany De Poorter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brecht Vissenaeckens during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes KFC Anseghem got a freekick which was hit by Brecht Vissenaeckens. 63 minutes into the match, KFC Anseghem's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Clijsters came free, but Claus Coppens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dany De Poorter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Slabbaert in the 66th minute of the match. Tommas Van der Weijden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Coppens having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Rajmond Cesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Claus Coppens managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Beveren's Tommas Van der Weijden fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 73rd minute, Frederik Valckenaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, KFC Anseghem's goalkeeper Claus Coppens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommas Van der Weijden. Tommas Van der Weijden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Claus Coppens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Beveren's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Slabbaert came free, but Dany De Poorter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Rob Slabbaert sped through Beveren's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dany De Poorter. Tommas Van der Weijden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claus Coppens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Brecht Vissenaeckens was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 94 played minutes KFC Anseghem got a freekick which was hit by Brecht Vissenaeckens. KFC Anseghem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Beveren for a fine match.
