Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joeri Du Bois kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Beveren's goal looked a bit too open when Tommi Dekker came free, but Dany De Poorter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dany De Poorter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Vervaet, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 5 minutes, Tommi Dekker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Thoricourt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommi Dekker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marc Vervaet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, AFC Thoricourt's Tibo Roofhoof got control of the ball when Tommas Van der Weijden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roderik Vereyt charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roderik Vereyt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When AFC Thoricourt's Tommi Dekker in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Beveren's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Tibo Roofhoof managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Beveren's Tommas Van der Weijden fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marc Vervaet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Marc Vervaet came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the AFC Thoricourt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Vervaet couldn't finish the play. AFC Thoricourt's Yoeri Andries got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, AFC Thoricourt's Tommi Dekker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dany De Poorter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Beveren got a freekick which was hit by Joeri Du Bois. Dany De Poorter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Everts went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half AFC Thoricourt were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommi Dekker was the one to do the kick off. Marc Vervaet struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dany De Poorter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Thoricourt. In the 54th minute, Michael Weets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marc Vervaet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AFC Thoricourt's Tommi Dekker got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Beveren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfried Van de Put to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, AFC Thoricourt's Kasper Deckkers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Tommi Dekker came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the AFC Thoricourt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommi Dekker couldn't finish the play. Beveren's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tommi Dekker 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 69th minute, Steve Steckens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Everts's late challenge caught a Beveren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Everts helped the player get up and apologised. Sergio Clijsters was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Steve Steckens hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Beveren getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Davy Demarrez hit a great ball. Dany De Poorter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommi Dekker in the 76th minute of the match. Rafael Everts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dany De Poorter having to interfere. After 81 played minutes AFC Thoricourt got a freekick which was hit by Marc Vervaet. After having played for 86 minutes, Marc Vervaet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Thoricourt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Vervaet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilfried Van de Put kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Tommi Dekker was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tommi Dekker struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Dany De Poorter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Thoricourt. AFC Thoricourt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
