Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anton Coenen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, one of F.C. Zegelsem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C. Zegelsem. If Levi Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Izmirspor getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jens De Baere hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Zegelsem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastian Huyghens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, one of Izmirspor:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, F.C. Zegelsem's Ronny Ketelers got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bastian Huyghens. Levi Terwenhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Bastian Huyghens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Peter Justens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Levi Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phillipe Van der Poorten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Coenen in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, F.C. Zegelsem's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Coenen came free, but Phillipe Van der Poorten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Levi Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bastian Huyghens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Zegelsem's zone, Ian Verlinden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillipe Van der Poorten came out of the goal and Ian Verlinden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Levi Terwenhout struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bastian Huyghens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Zegelsem. In the 72nd minute Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Huyghens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Izmirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Maes to maneuver through the defense. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bastian Huyghens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastian Huyghens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Izmirspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 84 played minutes F.C. Zegelsem got a freekick which was hit by Joeri Steenberghs. In the 85th minute of the match Jens De Baere shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillipe Van der Poorten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Berten De Kerper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Levi Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willy Maes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. F.C. Zegelsem had won after a very even match.
