Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Levi Terwenhout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Wery having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stein Wery saved VC Mortsel from getting behind. Ken Verbraecken kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of VC Mortsel booed when F.C. Zegelsem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Ketelers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harold Valckenaers didn't quite understand what happened when in the 15 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 18 minutes into the match, Levi Terwenhout notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of VC Mortsel's Stein Wery. Stein Wery was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Ken Verbraecken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC Mortsel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Zegelsem the free kick. Ken Verbraecken kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Charl Van Huytvenne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillipe Van der Poorten having to interfere. Phillipe Van der Poorten was a little too slow when Maxim Van Arschot got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxim Van Arschot in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phillipe Van der Poorten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronny Ketelers's late challenge caught a VC Mortsel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronny Ketelers helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C. Zegelsem getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ronny Ketelers hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Levi Terwenhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Wery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VC Mortsel's Stein Wery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levi Terwenhout in the 42nd minute of play. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Wery having to interfere. After 45 played minutes VC Mortsel got a freekick which was hit by Gustave Smits. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxim Van Arschot to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Zegelsem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Levi Terwenhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The F.C. Zegelsem fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when F.C. Zegelsem's Levi Terwenhout looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gustave Smits hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes, Bavo Rutgeerts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Zegelsem and the VC Mortsel players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VC Mortsel booed when F.C. Zegelsem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bavo Rutgeerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stein Wery. The goal made the score 1-3. Thanks to some nice moves Levi Terwenhout could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Stein Wery however easily saved by the left post. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harold Valckenaers charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harold Valckenaers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, one of VC Mortsel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VC Mortsel. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, F.C. Zegelsem's Ronny Ketelers got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Stein Wery. After 82 played minutes F.C. Zegelsem got a freekick which was hit by Yannis Verheugen. After a defensive mix-up in VC Mortsel's zone, Levi Terwenhout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stein Wery came out of the goal and Levi Terwenhout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stein Wery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stein Wery was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Stein Wery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Ken Verbraecken kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C. Zegelsem's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
