In the 17th minute of the match, Bernt Schepmans tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luke Dauwe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hector Steckens charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Steckens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC smokers booed when Okselaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Steckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Quentin Struyf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernst Van Langhendoncx skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Bernt Schepmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luke Dauwe was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. If Michael Imberechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Michael Imberechts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Okselaar booed when FC smokers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timy Gijsbrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Schepmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Dauwe having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Okselaar's Michael Imberechts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luke Dauwe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernst Van Langhendoncx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georges Baert in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute Bernt Schepmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Dauwe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luke Dauwe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Schepmans in the 92nd minute of the match. Okselaar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
