Okselaar's Ernst Van Langhendoncx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri Willems in the 14th minute of play. Henri Willems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Calewaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ernst Van Langhendoncx made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Okselaar's goal looked a bit too open when Henri Willems came free, but Ernst Van Langhendoncx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Imberechts in the 29th minute of play forced Fort Huntington's goalkeeper Charles-Louis Pardons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Michael Imberechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Bernt Schepmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Louis Pardons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles-Louis Pardons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Schepmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Bertrand Schoovaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Okselaar's zone, Richard Verdonk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernst Van Langhendoncx came out of the goal and Richard Verdonk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waut Verengen hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Remi Bekaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Charles-Louis Pardons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Fort Huntington's goalkeeper Charles-Louis Pardons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Imberechts. In the 64th minute, Okselaar's Bernt Schepmans dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Okselaar's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Schepmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 90th match minute, Fort Huntington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Verdonk to maneuver through the defense. Arnout De Rudder hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Okselaar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Okselaar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
