Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Yelle De Strijcker started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Angelo De Haes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernt Devaux went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jorg Cantillon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Henk Snieders charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henk Snieders the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of VC Denderleeuw booed when Wellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Snieders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yelle De Strijcker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre De Keijsere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Herman Pelsers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo De Haes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Pelsers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Bernt Devaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo De Haes was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Wellen's Angelo De Haes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Pelsers in the 42nd minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernt Devaux to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match VC Denderleeuw got a corner. Wellen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walter Van Gestel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Walter Van Gestel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wellen's Angelo De Haes did a great save. Bernt Devaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Angelo De Haes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo De Haes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herman Pelsers in the 57th minute. Bernt Devaux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo De Haes having to make a save. After 76 minutes of play, VC Denderleeuw's Bernt Devaux made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo De Haes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Bernt Devaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo De Haes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Wellen's Angelo Feys made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre De Keijsere was left in no man's land by his defense there! VC Denderleeuw were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Wellen to leave the ground with a draw.
