Leo Dekker struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Angelo De Haes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luchteren. The supporters of Luchteren booed when Wellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Wijgaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sylvan Goethuys kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Angelo Feys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Jeremie Walters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luchteren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wellen the free kick. Jeremie Walters hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Leo Dekker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo De Haes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Dekker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylvain Huyterhoeven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo De Haes having to interfere. Sylvain Huyterhoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellen's Angelo De Haes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Dekker in the 43rd minute of play. Erik-Jan Roukeloes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yelle De Strijcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Wellen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yelle De Strijcker was the one to do the kick off. Angelo Feys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Feys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Erik-Jan Roukeloes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Luchteren's goalkeeper Erik-Jan Roukeloes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Feys. Angelo De Haes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvain Huyterhoeven in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Dekker in the 68th minute of play forced Wellen's goalkeeper Angelo De Haes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leo Dekker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Wellen's goal looked a bit too open when Anthoon Bourgignon came free, but Angelo De Haes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sylvain Huyterhoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erik-Jan Roukeloes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Feys went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wellen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
