Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stef De Jonghe started the match with the kick off. Philippe Everts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Roockeloos in the 4th minute. Gerard Roockeloos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philippe Everts having to make a save. The supporters of Testopia booed when FC Axel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolf Klaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes Testopia got a freekick which was hit by Reinaud Van Goolen. FC Axel's Joos Vandommele got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bavo Van Hoeijveldt hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Gerard Roockeloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Philippe Everts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philippe Everts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Klaes in the 21st minute of play. Andris Huyghens kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Gerard Roockeloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dean Van Meensel in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philippe Everts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerard Roockeloos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. FC Axel's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Joos Vandommele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philippe Everts having to interfere. Philippe Everts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Roockeloos in the 38th minute. Stef De Jonghe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Philippe Everts came out and tried to block the shot, but Stef De Jonghe slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaud Van Goolen was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stef De Jonghe in the 55th minute of play forced Testopia's goalkeeper Philippe Everts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philippe Everts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Roockeloos in the 57th minute of the match. After 60 minutes, Andris Huyghens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Testopia and the FC Axel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Testopia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommi Lanckneus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Dean Van Meensel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Axel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Testopia the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Tommi Lanckneus could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Chris-George Jaddon however easily saved by the left post. Philippe Everts came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Axel's Adolf Klaes. But to his dismay, Adolf Klaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. FC Axel's Tijs Lefebre got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Axel's Gerard Roockeloos got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Gerard Roockeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philippe Everts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Testopia's goal looked a bit too open when Joos Vandommele came free, but Philippe Everts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Roockeloos in the 89th minute of play forced Testopia's goalkeeper Philippe Everts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolf Klaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philippe Everts having to interfere.
