After 3 played minutes Ben Sannen rounded VC Bissegem's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 7 minutes of play, VC Bissegem's Piet Meulders made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeffery Valkeneers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ben Sannen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sem Dhondt having to interfere. Fredrik Verheyden charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Verheyden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brecht Van der Hoeven kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Francis Keldermans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakkerzeel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Keldermans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Piet Meulders made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Joey Stocks put in a rough tackle. In the 51st minute, one of Wakkerzeel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wakkerzeel. In the 54th minute, Erwin Ceulemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC Bissegem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Felix Boegaerts hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Francis Keldermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sem Dhondt having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Karel Demarrez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeffery Valkeneers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Jeffery Valkeneers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Laurenz De Maesschalck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piet Meulders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karel Demarrez's late challenge caught a Wakkerzeel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karel Demarrez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, VC Bissegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Demarrez to maneuver through the defense. If Laurenz De Maesschalck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Piet Meulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Wakkerzeel's goalkeeper Jeffery Valkeneers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurenz De Maesschalck. VC Bissegem's Laurenz De Maesschalck got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Francis Keldermans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakkerzeel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Keldermans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Wakkerzeel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VC Bissegem's performance. The match ended with a win for VC Bissegem.
