Achilles Goons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Tuerlinckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 3rd minute, Rein Vrancken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan Hellemons in the 9th minute of play forced Desse 's goalkeeper Jannic Goovaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Stephan Hellemons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Wateringen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephan Hellemons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jannic Goovaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Beeckmans in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Jerry Beeckmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannic Goovaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannic Goovaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Beeckmans in the 37th minute of the match. Jerry Beeckmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Samuel Van de Zande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannic Goovaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Achilles Goons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arsene Anteunis went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kasper Smits to make the kick off. The VC Wateringen fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when VC Wateringen's Samuel Van de Zande looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jerry Beeckmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Wateringen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Beeckmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannic Goovaers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerry Beeckmans took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jannic Goovaers. Jannic Goovaers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Arsene Anteunis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desse 's Arsene Anteunis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rein Vrancken kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Desse 's Octavian Wilmots couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for VC Wateringen. Jannic Goovaers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Van de Zande in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Desse 's zone, Jerry Beeckmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannic Goovaers came out of the goal and Jerry Beeckmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerry Beeckmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jannic Goovaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desse 's Jannic Goovaers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Desse from getting a goal against them. Samuel Van de Zande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jannic Goovaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jannic Goovaers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerry Beeckmans in the 91st minute. Thomas Tuerlinckx charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Tuerlinckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Desse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Tuerlinckx to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Tuerlinckx was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Thomas Tuerlinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Goffrey Van Clijnebreugel succeeded in the game's 96th minute to get real power on a long shot . Desse 's Jannic Goovaers hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-3! When the match was over VC Wateringen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Desse throughout the match.
