Gilbert Uijterhove struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gerard Delamenin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Assenede. Mattheo De Hoef hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Georges De Raeijmaecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Delamenin having to interfere. After some careless play in the KV Club Brugge defense, Harry Cox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerard Delamenin. The KV Club Brugge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerard Delamenin should have stopped the shot. Mattheo De Hoef kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the KV Club Brugge defense, Harry Cox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerard Delamenin. Gilbert Uijterhove in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerard Delamenin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gerard Delamenin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Cox in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mattheo De Hoef during the 88th minute.
