The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waut Wijnants helped the player get up and apologised. Waut Wijnants hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Brye's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Schautens came free, but Etienne Van Hoeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Haesevoets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiel Manaers kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Maarten Engelbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Sustens, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Erwetegem got a freekick which was hit by Waut Wijnants. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Erwetegem's goalkeeper Maarten Engelbert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Erwetegem got a freekick which was hit by Yannis Oelemans. Kenney Heijligem took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maarten Engelbert. Erwetegem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Tristan Schautens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brye's Etienne Van Hoeij was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Octavian Styles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Erwetegem's goalkeeper Maarten Engelbert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Mathijs Sustens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maarten Engelbert having to interfere. Mathijs Sustens struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Maarten Engelbert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brye. Brye's Octavian Styles got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 played minutes Erwetegem got a freekick which was hit by Yannis Oelemans. Maarten Engelbert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavian Styles went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Josef Goebelens fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maarten Engelbert, passed just outside the right post. In the 84th minute, Mathijs Sustens fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Michael Haesevoets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Erwetegem's Maarten Engelbert got control of the ball when Ronald Limpens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brye's Ronald Limpens suffered a concussion in the 94th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yannis Oelemans during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yannis Oelemans hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Erwetegem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brye were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
