Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Renzo de Nijs started the match with the kick off. Renzo de Nijs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Boumans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Robbin Severens came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by KVSK Wijtschate's Armand De Vlaeminck. But to his dismay, Armand De Vlaeminck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Antoine Theunis in the 10th minute of play forced KVSK Wijtschate's goalkeeper Mario Boumans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbin Severens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile Gooris in the 14th minute of the match. Vosselare's Robbin Severens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emile Gooris in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Vosselare's Jurgen Hosselaer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Boumans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Renzo de Nijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Boumans having to interfere. Vosselare's Robbin Severens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vosselare from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Vosselare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Van Den Hout to maneuver through the defense. If Renzo de Nijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Van Den Hout struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mario Boumans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vosselare. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

54 minutes into the match, Vosselare's goal looked a bit too open when Dries Van Den Eynde came free, but Robbin Severens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Renzo de Nijs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Armand De Vlaeminck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbin Severens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Gooris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of KVSK Wijtschate booed when Vosselare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles-Antoine Theunis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, KVSK Wijtschate's Yves Verdonckt tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mario Boumans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurgen Hosselaer in the 73rd minute. Armand De Vlaeminck scored 2-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robbin Severens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. KVSK Wijtschate's Mario Boumans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save KVSK Wijtschate from getting a goal against them. Vosselare's Robbin Severens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emile Gooris in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Emile Gooris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbin Severens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KVSK Wijtschate fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vosselare had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
