Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stephan Van Den Haecke kicked off to start the match. Yens Allaert kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Guido Fraes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fc Oxford's Steffen Kortens didn't even have to move. Jorre Wolput received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Steffen Kortens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Jorre Wolput got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Andy Uytdebroeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Fc Oxford's Stein Sproten got a free kick in the 16th minute. A hard shot by Guido Fraes from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Steffen Kortens's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 20 minutes into the match, Stephan Van Den Haecke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nevele's Yelle Kempenaerts. Yelle Kempenaerts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yelle Kempenaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenney Stuckers in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Stephan Van Den Haecke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Oxford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tibau Langhmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Kortens having to interfere. Fc Oxford's Yens Allaert got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Andy Uytdebroeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nevele's Yelle Kempenaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenney Stuckers in the 38th minute of play. Tibau Langhmans struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Steffen Kortens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nevele. After having played for 41 minutes, Tibau Langhmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nevele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibau Langhmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Fc Oxford:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nevele:s goal. The referee gave Nevele a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guido Fraes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fc Oxford's Steffen Kortens. 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibau Langhmans made a kick off. A collision led to Nevele getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Robin Omblet hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Yens Allaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robin Omblet kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorre Wolput in the 70th minute of play forced Fc Oxford's goalkeeper Steffen Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fc Oxford booed when Nevele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Fraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yens Allaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fc Oxford would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
