An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Uytdebroeck in the 21st minute of play forced Vosselare's goalkeeper Robbin Severens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fc Oxford's Andy Uytdebroeck in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vosselare's Robbin Severens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Van Den Haecke in the 31st minute of play. Steffen Kortens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurgen Hosselaer in the 34th minute. Steffen Kortens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy Van Beveren in the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yens Allaert during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robbin Severens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Louis-Philippe Beets charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis-Philippe Beets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Fc Oxford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis-Philippe Beets to maneuver through the defense. Fc Oxford's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
