In the 2nd minute, Gaetan De Keyser made a precise shot to the right of Renaut De Pauw. Rooigem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Robbe Rouvoet fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rooigem's protests and gave Robbe Rouvoet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, one of Rooigem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rooigem. The audience was convinced that Piet Gressens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arthur Jaddon was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Ive Strupar hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The long shot by Wes Van Hautvin in the 13th minute really tested Arthur Jaddon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Davy De Maijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Renaut De Pauw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Davy De Maijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaut De Pauw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Kesters in the 24th minute of play forced Postel's goalkeeper Arthur Jaddon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billie Mertens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arthur Jaddon having to make a save. Renaut De Pauw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaetan De Keyser's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to Rooigem getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Piet Gressens hit a great ball. Renaut De Pauw didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Postel's Davy De Maijer shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Renaut De Pauw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaetan De Keyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Hugo Kesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Billie Mertens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Jaddon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When Thomas Melkval fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Postel's protests and gave Thomas Melkval a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaetan De Keyser was the one to do the kick off. Davy De Maijer's late challenge caught a Rooigem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davy De Maijer helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Postel got a freekick which was hit by Davy De Maijer. In the 56th minute Hugo Kesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Jaddon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Hugo Kesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rooigem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Kesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hugo Kesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Piet Gressens was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Rooigem's Piet Gressens got a free kick in the 68th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Davy De Maijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Postel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davy De Maijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billie Mertens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Billie Mertens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rooigem's supporters rose to their feet, but Billie Mertens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Jaddon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, Gilliam Hoolemans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Postel and the Rooigem players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Billie Mertens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davy De Maijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaetan De Keyser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Renaut De Pauw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rooigem getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mike Depauw hit a great ball. Davy De Maijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaut De Pauw having to interfere. Gaetan De Keyser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renaut De Pauw having to make a save. Postel were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Rooigem's much stronger midfield.
